Who runs PDFCraftly

Hi, I'm Bishal. I'm a BSc Agriculture graduate from Pokhara, Nepal. My main work is agricultural research: field trials, GIS and remote sensing with Google Earth Engine, and data analysis in Python and R. I've co-authored peer-reviewed research articles on topics such as spring rice, fall armyworm and farm mechanization.

PDFCraftly is my independent side project. I build and maintain it myself.

Why I built it

Research runs on PDFs: journal articles, manuscripts under review, submission forms, scanned field data sheets, letters that need a signature. Most free PDF websites handle these by uploading your file to their servers. For unpublished work and personal documents, I didn't want to hand them to a server I don't control — and I didn't think anyone else should have to.

Modern browsers are powerful enough to do this work themselves, so PDFCraftly does everything on your own device. You get the convenience of an online tool with the privacy of desktop software, and it's free.

How it works

Runs in your browser

Every tool — merge, split, page numbers, watermark, edit, sign, OCR and more — runs in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device.

No uploads, no storage

There is no processing server. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored. Results are created on your device and saved straight to your downloads.

Always free

No account, no watermark, no email gate. Basic PDF tools should be available to everyone.

What it's built with

The website is built with Next.js and React. PDF processing uses pdf-lib and PDF.js, and OCR is powered by Tesseract.js, which downloads its engine and language data from the jsDelivr CDN the first time you use it. There are also step-by-step guides for common PDF jobs.
